Olson Kundig Architects "Hammer House" A Market Success
Now that the seasons have officially changed and we've surely said goodbye to the warm weather, we thought it would be fun to look back at one of our favorite real estate moments of the summer. What topped our list? Well, the "Hammer House," a stunning design birthed by Olson Kundig Architects truly met success on the market. The award-winning firm's creation sold for $1.262M (above its asking price of $1.2M) within one month of its entrance into the market. So what set this property apart from others? Well, the architecture really speaks for itself with views as gorgeous on the inside as they are on the outside. Curbed's Spencer Peterson, who reported on the quick pending status, noted some of the many other accomplishments of the firm as he described that they have "gone on to build homes in-between boulders, give fabulous rainbow upgrades to mid-century churches, and roll out at least one weird conceptual art project." With such true creativity in their projects and designs, their sustained success will undoubtedly continue to stun all. And their homes will garner quick and lucrative success every time they hit the market.
